Something in the sound has been pushed up. Sweep a boost across the spectrum until that part of the sound jumps out, then mark it. The clock starts when you move, and you keep full marks for the first 10 seconds.
Find the boost fast.
Something in the sound has been boosted. Sweep an EQ band across the spectrum until the boost jumps out at you, then mark where it is. It trains the move you make at every mix: sweeping to find the frequency before you decide what to do with it.
How it works
- Press Play and flip between Clean and Boosted to hear what changed.
- Drag your sweep band (or use the arrow keys) until it lines up with the boost.
- Mark it. The clock starts when you first move your band.
How it’s scored
Each round scores how close your mark lands, in octaves, times a clock: full marks inside 10 seconds, sliding to 70% at 30 seconds (20 on the last level), so a dead-on answer always passes however long it took. Pass with a 65 average over six rounds.
Levels
Five levels: pink noise, a smaller boost, a drum kit, a full mix, and Quick Draw, a smaller boost in the mix with less time. Levels 1 and 2 are free. Levels 3 and up are part of Mix Chops Pro, and every level is open while Mix Chops is in early access.
